44th SEA Age Group Swimming Championships 2022 - Team MAS

CONGRATULATIONS to KL Swimmers having qualified to the 44th SEA Age Group Swimming Championships 2022 (17-19 Dec 2022)

Dear respected affiliates,

We are pleased to inform for the 44th Sea Age Group Swimming Championship 2022, the number of entries is extended to 3 swimmers per country per event. This is good for development of the sport. In view that Malaysia is the host, 70 swimmers have qualified based on the criteria below. Results were extracted from MIAG swimming championship 2022 and further MAS approved championships till 15 Oct 2022.

There are 3 categories of swimmers:

By Merit: Achieved 3rd placing of Sea Age Group 2019. Expenses fully borne by MAS, including transport from outstation.

1st consideration: Achieved 5th placing of Sea Age Group 2019. Each swimmer will have to pay a flat fee of RM50.00. To bear own transport expenses for outstation swimmers.

2nd consideration: Achieved top 3 on respective age group, national level. Each swimmer to pay a flat fee of RM80.00. To bear own transport expenses for outstation swimmers.

For outstation swimmers, we are arranging for accommodation at CASA MSN. Further details will be provided later.

1. The acceptance & indemnity letter. To be returned to MAS office latest by 15 November 2022.
2. The list of swimmers selected
3. The events the swimmers were selected from. They are required to swim these events. For events with less than 3 swimmers, selected swimmers (in the list) are welcome to indicate their interest on the acceptance letter.

Team Wilayah Championed the Swimming SUKMA XX MSN 2022 Edition

 

The Wilayah Persekutuan Swim Team post a great challenge to other teams in this year's edition of SUKMA XX MSN 2022 in winning the championship with 11 Gold, 11 Silver & 3 Bronze.

Invitation to MAS SENIOR INVITATIONAL SWIM MEET 2022 (20-21 August, 2022)

 Persatuan Renang Amatur Kuala Lumpur (PRAKL) is pleased to extend invitation to all swimmers of affiliated clubs of Malaysia Swimming Federation (MAS) to participate in the MAS SENIOR INVITATIONAL SWIM MEET 2022 as follows:-

The MAS/NSC Junior Splash Swim 2022, Leg 2 is currently on-going from 15th - 17th July, 2022 at Bukit Jalil National Aquatic Centre.

Team WPKL Crowned as Overall Champion in the 57th Malaysia Invitational Age Group ( MIAG ) Swimming Championships 2022

 WPKL CHEERS

“Everywhere we go,

Mighty Mighty Wilayah”

“Mighty Mighty Wilayah” is not only a phrase in the WPKL cheers created creatively by WPKL  swimmers to boost their fighting spirit but it was spectacularly transformed into a remarkable results during 57th Malaysia Invitational Age Group Swimming Championship 2022 which was held on 2nd June until 5th June 2022 at National Aquatic Center, Bukit Jalil.

Teamwork, sportsmanship and high level of discipline displayed by the swimmers and coaches, restless chanting and shouting by parents during the 4 days meet contributed to the astonishing medal haul by the team. WPKL was again crowned as the overall champion for MIAG 2022 

The team which was represented by 44 male and 57 female swimmers showed that they deserved to be crowned as the overall champion by bagging a total number of 50 gold, 42 silver and 33 bronze. This exceptional achievement by WPKL was a third time win for three consecutive years since 55th MIAG 2019. Well done! 

Team WPKL broke the most number of meet records during MIAG 2022, with 11 new times achieved.

Congratulations to our gold medalists who did exceptionally well. Special mentions goes to :

In addition to the outstanding medal standing, it is worth mentioning that 70.3% out of 660 entries by KL swimmers were their new personal best. What’s more? 11 out of 16 new meet records were registered by KL swimmers with some stunning timing which beat the automatic qualifying time to the SEA Age Group Swimming Championships 2022.

Well done to the swimmers who swam to  meet the 5th qualifying place of SEAG 2022.

Below are the top 30 male & female swimmers who registered the highest FINA points during the meet.

In a nutshell, “we are Wilayah, mighty mighty Wilayah “. On behalf of WPKL team for MIAG 2022, I would like to express my appreciation to all swimmers, coaches, parents, sponsors and working committee for your kind cooperation, discipline and understanding throughout the competition. We are the Champion!

Invitation to MAS/NSC/MILO Junior Splash Swim 2022 - Leg 2

Persatuan Renang Amatur Kuala Lumpur is pleased to extend our invitation to all swimmers of affiliated clubs/schools of Malaysia Swimming Federation and schools affiliated to PRAKL to participate in the MAS/NSC/MILO Junior Splash Swim 2022 - Leg 2 to be held at National Aquatic Centre, Kuala Lumpur Sports City, Bukit Jalil from 15th - 17th July, 2022.

Do take note that the closing date for submission of entries is at 5.00pm, 1st July, 2022 on a first come first served basis, subject to limitation of 900 participants for the meet and 120 swimmers per club/school.
